Money has a schedule. Nornas shows you next week's before it happens.
An iPhone app that keeps your bills, paydays and plans, and answers one question every morning: is there enough between now and the next time you are paid.
The name
In Norse myth the Norns sit at the root of the world tree and weave what will come. They are not fortune tellers. They work: the future is something made, thread by thread, out of what is already there.
That is the whole idea of this app. Nothing it tells you is a prediction. It is arithmetic you already had, done early enough to be worth something.
What it answers
The week in front of you, and whether it fits.
Every bill and payday on the day it lands.
Reminders the day before, and on payday morning.
Everything optional, in one place, reversible.
Privacy
Your bills, plans, reminders and the amounts attached to them never leave the device. We do not receive them, and we could not show them to anyone if we were asked.
There is no advertising and no analytics. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared. Data reaches our servers in exactly two cases: when you choose to share a bill or a plan with another person, and if you choose to connect a bank.
The full account is in the Privacy Policy, which covers what is kept, for how long, and how to have it deleted. The Terms of Use covers the rest.
Bank connections
Nornas works entirely by hand: you enter your bills and paydays yourself, and that is the only way it works today. We are adding an optional bank connection, through Plaid, for people who would rather not.
We never see or store bank credentials. Signing in happens inside Plaid, not inside Nornas. We receive a token that lets us read the account, never a username and never a password.
If you connect an account, we use it for one purpose: recognising the charges and deposits that repeat, so that Nornas can tell you what is due and when you are next paid without you typing it in. Concretely:
We do not move money, initiate payments, or transfer funds. We do not use this data for advertising, credit decisions, scoring, or resale, and we do not share it with anyone. Disconnecting an account in Nornas deletes the token and everything derived from it.
Where it is
Nornas is not on the App Store yet. It is being tested privately on a small number of iPhones while the bank connection is finished. If you are reading this because you were sent the link, that is why there is nothing to download.
Questions, or something that went wrong: the Support page is the fastest route, and a real person reads it.
